Life Saving Care Inspires Gift of Hope

Marilyn MoultonMarilyn Moulton was filled with such appreciation for the organ transplant team at Hackensack Meridian Hackensack University Medical Center that she made a major decision that would benefit patients, like her, long into the future. She decided to graciously support research in the Division of Organ Transplantation at the medical center through a bequest of $1 million.

Marilyn was raised in the Bronx by her father, Albert, whom she regards as her greatest influence and role model. She knew she wanted to honor him in a meaningful way through her gift, so she decided to name the Marilyn and Albert Roland Endowment Fund after her beloved father as a way to preserve his legacy forever.

The process of making a gift through her estate was easy to do thanks to Marilyn’s strong relationship with her professional advisors and attorney who drafted a will in partnership with the development team at Hackensack Meridian Hackensack University Medical Center Foundation and the Office of Gift Planning at Hackensack Meridian Health Foundation.

Marilyn credits her exceptional care team at the Division of Organ Transplantation for saving her life, inspiring her to give back. “It is so important to remember to be grateful and give back,” said Marilyn. And, we are grateful to Marilyn for this meaningful gift that will impact the future of health care for years to come.
